Learn the basics of taiji, wushu kungfu or health qigong by joining our beginners’ courses.

Interested in taiji, wushu kungfu or qigong? Come and try the sports in our beginners’ courses! We usually organise new courses three times a year – in the beginning of the year, in the middle of the spring and in the fall. Our next courses will start in January 2021.
NOTE! Children’s wushu, Senior taiji and Ba Duan Jin courses have been postponed, the courses will start in the beginning of February. More course-specific details below.

Taiji for beginners | Spring 2021
Duration: Sun 17.1.2021 – Wed 31.3.2021
Time: Wed 18.00-19.00 + Sun 14.00-15.00

In our upcoming taiji beginners’ course we will teach the classic Yang style 24 movements. The “Yang 24” is a great routine for beginners, but also suitable for more experienced taiji practitioners who wish to keep up or improve their basic techniques.
Our 10-week course begins on Sunday 17.1.2021 at 2pm. The course schedule includes two weekly classes, the first one organised on Wednesday evenings and the other one on Sundays. The head teacher of the course will be master Zhang Fang, who will be assisted by Jaana Meriläinen.
As a training outfit we recommend comfortable, loose clothes, such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. You should also be wearing a pair of preferably flat-soled indoor training shoes with low collars.

Health qigong for beginners | Taiji Yang Shen Zhang | Spring 2021

In the upcoming spring 2021 we will organise two health qigong beginners’ courses. On Monday’s classes we will be teaching the “Taiji Yang Shen Zhang” routine that is practiced with a stick.
The classes will start on Monday 18.1.2021 at 6.30pm. The head teacher of our 10-week course will be master Zhang Fang, who will be assisted by Jaana Meriläinen and Taina Pääkkönen.
If you also wish to participate in our Wednesdays’ “Ba Duan Jin” qigong course, the joint price for both courses is 220€.
As a training outfit we recommend comfortable, loose clothes, such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. You should also be wearing a pair of preferably flat-soled indoor training shoes with low collars.

Wushu kungfu for beginners | Spring 2021

Our next wushu kungfu beginners’ course will start on Tuesday 19.1.2021 at 4.45pm. Our 10-week course schedule includes two weekly classes, the first one on Tuesday evenings and the other one on Thursday evenings.
The course is suitable for grownups and teenagers above the age of 12. In our classes you will learn a variety of kicks, punches and other techniques.
The head teacher of the course will be master Zhang Fang, who will be assisted by Jaakko Hutchings, Tomi Laitinen and Satria Sutisna.
As a training outfit we recommend comfortable, loose clothes, such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. You should also be wearing a pair of indoor training shoes with low collars.

Senior Taiji for beginners | Spring 2021
Duration: Tue 2.2.2020 – Tue 6.4.2020

Our next Senior Taiji beginners’ course will start in January 2021, on Tuesday 2.2. at 11am. In this course we will be teaching the 13-technique taiji routine, “Wu Bu Ba Fa“, which includes 5 simple footworks and 8 hand techniques. This routine is a great way for seniors to learn the basics of taiji.
The head teacher of our 10-week course will be master Zhang Fang, who will be assisted by Jaana Meriläinen.

Children's wushu classes | Spring 2021
Duration: Sat 6.2.2021 – Sat 29.5.2021
Time: Sat 13.00-14.00 + 14.00-15.00

Our wushu kungfu classes for children will start again in the spring 2021! The first classes of the season will take place on Saturday 6.2. starting at 1pm, and the season will continue until the end of May, 29.5.2021.
The children’s classes will be organised on Saturdays in two separate groups, one at 13.00-14.00 and the other at 14.00-15.00. The classes are meant for young wushu fans at the age of 7-11.
All the kids who have already been training with the later 2pm group will continue in the same group. The ones who have been training with the earlier group will come to the first class at 1pm to see which group they will continue training with. The groups will be determined based on the amount of participants and the experience level of each child.

The classes will mainly be taught in Finnish, but we do also take English- and Swedish-speaking kids into consideration, where needed.
The head coaches of the classes will be Satria Sutisna and Tomi Laitinen, who will be assisted by Iines Talarmo.
